Champions League 2013 winners Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund?
Its a all German final in the finals of the Champions League 2013. Both teams have been favorites through out the competition with Bayern Munich being the firm favorites to win the final.
The match is at the Wembley Stadium in London tonight Saturday 25th may 2013 at 18:45pm GMT.
The match is at 12:15am IST(Indian Standard Time) on 26th May 2013 in India.
It will be telecasted in India on Ten Action and Ten Sports channels in India.
Bayern Munich will be under more pressure to perform better and win the trophy as they have failed to win the last two finals after being favorites in both the finals. They lost to Inter Milan in 2010 and then they lost last years finals to Chelsea.
After the heartbreak at home last year in the Champions League and also loosing the domestic league and cup to Dortmund, Bayern have been really strong this year. They won the league with a 25 points margin.
So they will try and win tonight to overcome last few years pain and lift the ultimate European trophy.
On the other hand Borussia Dortmund have been poor in the league and they have reached the later stages of the Champions League since winning the trophy in 1997. They have been a team to watch as they took Real Madrid apart in the Semifinals of the Champions League. They have been less prolific then Bayern Munich as they were almost dumped from this competition in the quaters by Malaga and they managed to hold on against Madrid in the Semis.
Borussia Dortmund have Robert Lewandowski in the front who scored four goals against Real Madrid with Marco Reus behind him and young German midfielder in the middle with the strong back four.
Whereas Bayern Munich have a good striker in Mario Mandzukic with the world class wingers of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben then the floating Thomas Muller(scored a hat trick against Barcelona) and the two world class midfielders and a really strong defense and a world class goalkeeper.
Borussia Dortmund have lost at least 1 player to Bayern as Mario Gotze is set to join them at the end of this season and with talks of Robert Lewandowski also leaving for their rivals they will want to win the trophy really badly as they might not be the same force as they were last year and a year before that when they won back to back league title.
Mario Gotze will be missing with an injury he picked up the semis and it looks like a good omen as the team and their fans can now concentrate more on the game rather than taunt and abuse the player who has left his childhood club to play for their rivals next year.
My favorites to win this finals is Bayern Munich as they have world class players but you can never know Borussia Dortmund can pull a Chelsea like last season.
