Sir Alex Ferguson Retires after 27 years as Manchester United Manager

Sir Alex Ferguson announced that he will retire from his post as the manager of Manchester United. There have been talks about his retirement for the past 3 to 4 years now and he finally leaves his long term post.
He has been the manager of Manchester United for the past 27 years in a age where managers leave or are sacked on a regular basis. Fergie as he is known has managed a top club for almost 3 decades and it has produced a huge numbers of trophies.

Sir Alex Ferguson has won 13 English Premier Leagues, 5 FA Cups and 2 Champions League trophies with other trophies like Carling Cup and Community Shields. He is one of the most successful manager not only for Manchester United but also in english football.
After loosing the league to Manchester City last season in the final minutes on the last day on goal difference , he signed Robin Van Persie and won the league convincingly with 4 games to spare.
He would have retired last season if United had won the league last season. But now he has announced his retirement with his last match at Wes Brom on 15th may.

Who will be the next Manchester United Manager?

1) David Moyes
He looks to be the favorite to succeed Fergie after having backing from Fergie himself and top United board members like Sir Booby Chalton.
Moyes is scotish as Fergie and has the blessing from Fergie which looks like a big factor in him getting the big job.
Moyes has managed Everton for 12 years on a relatively smal bugdet and they have done decent over the years. But he has not managed to get any silverware which most people think is dampening fact of Moyes's managerial carreer.
He hasnt got any experience at the highest level either in the league or the more competitive Champions League.
But it Looks like he will be the Manager of Manchester United come next season as his contract at Everton expires.

2) Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho has done quiet well in the EPL previously with 2 league titles and Fa cups at Chelsea. he has won the Champions League with Porto and Inter Milan.
He has also done well in Spain winning the La liga last season. He is quiet a fiesty character like Fergie but he is more controvasial and that has reduced his changes of becoming the next Manchester United manager.
He is always in the news and likes to remain in the limelight which people at Manchester United dont like.
Jose has himself said he would like to manage United in the future, but it looks more like he will manage Chelsea next season.

3) Ole Solskjaer
He has been previously linked to the United job after winning league title with Morde in Norway.

4) Ryan Giggs or Paul Scholes
Manchester United old guards Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes might have some hand in managing Manchester United in the future.
Paul Scholes has previously manages the youth or reserve teams.
Ryan Giggs has hinted at taking small managing role at the club.
