Poor Manchester City loose to fancy relegation threatent Wigan in FA Cup Finals

There is the final nail in Roberto Mancini's coffin, he will surely be sacked as the manager of Manchester City after they lost to relegation threaten't Wigan Athletic by a single goal. He could have salvaged this season by wining at-least a FA Cup trophy and win 3 trophies in 3 season. Mancini hasn't been able to work his magic as he did last season. The new signings haven't worked except Nastasic and it looks like his final days at Manchester

But Manchester City were poor as they have been whole season and did not have the best of games as well just 2 or 3 really good chances. Wigan had a lot more chances and they played much better. They deserved to win as they looked like they wanted to win and had the hunger to lift a trophy. They were the underdogs for this game and the neutral were expecting a drubbing by Manchester City , but it was good to see a tightly fought contest which Wigan won with zest.

Wingan's Callum McManaman was surely the man of the match as he tormented the City defense especially Gael Clichy who had a had time keeping track of him. Callum as instrumental in getting Zabaletta sent of as he made a surging run and forced Zabaleta to tackle.
Aruna Kone kept the ball very well and not only helped ease the pressure on their defense but also start attacking moves with the help of Shaun Maloney and Espinoza.
Midfield surely McCarthy was really impressive. Defense had some wobbles with Scharner looking pretty nervous most of the time he had the ball but they did manage to keep a clean sheet.

And Ben Watson then scored the decisive goal in stoppage time to win Wigan their first Trophy after Wigan Chairman had broken his foot in his footballing days when he played for Wigan in the Semifinals.

The goal was a result of a corner which was the good efforts of McManaman and he did have the say in the goal for Wigan. It was unfortunate that he did not score in this game as he did have 2 good chances which he did create himself. Whenever he had the ball Wigan were on the attack as he had the pace change and trickery to move Wigan forward toward the City goal.

Now Wigan will have to try and avoid relegation from the premier league. They have to win their remaining games to have any chance of surviving. They will have to try and keep their manager who is already being favored to be the next Everton manager. As well as players like Kone, McCarthy, McManaman
