Gareth Bale win PFA and Young player of the year award Defeating RVP and Cannibal Suarez for FPA

Gareth Bale has bagged the PFA player of the year plus the Young player of the year. The feat has only been managed by two other players : Andy Gray in 1976-77 and Cristiano Ronaldo in 2007.

Chelsea have the upper hand in the Semifinals of the UEFA Cup against FC Basel

Chelsea are the only English team which are present in any later stages of European competitions this season and they look like they can repeat last season feat by wining the second tier European tie.
They were the favorites to go through to the Finals and they did manage to put in a good performance and it will take some performance from Basel to overturn the result in their favor.

Chelsea played well for most of the game and they did manage to win the game with the last kick of the game by courtesy of a Daviz Luiz free kick.
They were in control when they scored the first goal but some crazy referring where the referee awarded a penalty when nothing seemed to be wrong. Basel scored from the penalty and leveled the score.

Robert Lewandowski scores four goals to help Borussia Dortmund trash Real Madrid

It was a big game for Borussia Dormund at home to play Real Madrid in the Semi-finals of the Champions League and boy did they turn up all guns blazing making a mockery of the Real Madrid defense.
Robert Lewandowski was exceptional and scored four goals in a game to match a feat that only four others have done including the current world class Lionel Messi. Dortmund were the better team for the most of the game and the scoreline could have been worse as some referee decisions and fine save from the Madrid goalie helped Madrid from conceding more than four goals.
It was a game where two tacktically similar playing teams with fast and quick counter attacking style were playing each. And the better defensive team won with only one mistake by Matt Hummels which could have derailed their night.

Hardworking Bayern Munich hammer Barcelona in Champions league Semi-final

If you did not see last nights match maybe because you live in Europe and live somewhere else where the match schedule for the Champions League Semifinal clash between  Bayern Munich and Barcelona is not time friendly as you need to get sleep to go for work the next morning then you will be in for a shock to hear that Bayern Munich thrashed Spanish runaway leaders Barcelona 4 to nothing.

Both teams are comfortably leading their respective leagues with margins in double figure for the second placed teams. So if you expected a epic Semifinal clash maybe you were disappointed to see a fully one sided clash where Barcelona did have 63 % of the possession but the German champions made light work of Barcelona and humiliated them by scoring 4 goals without a response from Barcelona even after have less than 40% possession in the match.

Cannibal Suarez should be banned for a huge number of games!!

After last nights incidents in the Liverpool versus Chelsea game where Luis Suarez bit Branislav Ivanovic there has been a lot of fun and says by different people. Does he deserve to play at such a big stage and repeat the same mistake that he did at his former club Ajax, does he get a huge fine, does he get a ban for a number of games, does he get charged for violent conduct??

Suarez was really really lucky as Ivanovic did not press any charges against the player. He would have been in quiet a lot more in trouble if Ivanovic did not forgive him. An incident on such a big stage where the full world is watching is bad publicity for Liverpool, the FA and England of course. After the recent incidents off the pitch like the ones at Wembley where Millwall fans fought with each other, Newcastle fans went rouge after their humiliating defeat at the hands of Sunderland and a fan punching a player incident there Has to be some measures taken by the FA and the police to make sure they dont allow such incidents to happen.

When all the news news was supposed to be about Manchester United winning their 20th league title or the race for Champions League places we are finding it hard to avoid talking about Suarez bitting Ivanovic during last nights game.
But lets focus on tonight's game where Manchester United look to seal the English premier league when they face relegation threatened Aston villa who look to avoid Relegation to the Championship.
All three points for Manchester United and they will win the league with with four games to go. A defeat for Aston villa will keep them 3 points off 17th place which is occupied by Wigan who they face in their final day when it may decide who stays up for next season and who goes down.

Race for Champions League wide open

The race for the right to play in the footballs elite competition "Champions League" for next season is wide open with three teams playing for the all important 3rd and 4th league postion in the English Premier League.
Chelsea Looked to be the favorites to clinch their place but they have somewhat faltered in recent games to give hope to Arsenal and Spurs.
Arsenal Scrapped through versus a resilent 10 men Fulham when Arsenal could have won the game easily but they almost drew the game with Fulham Playing good football and almost managing to clinch a draw.
With Arsenal scrapping through with a win ,Tottenham Hotspurs had to win the aganist the defending champions to keep them in the hunt for Champions League position.
It started horribly for Spurs when they consided inside 15 minutes with Carlos Tevez managing to avoid challenges from Vertongen and picking up Miller.
Miller ran on the byline to put in a good cross, which was calmly put in the back of the net by Samir Nasri.

Chelsea were robbed off two points at the death by a Luis Suarez goal. Not before he had a crazy game where he assisted in a goal for Sturrigde before giving a way a penalty and the bitting.. Yes bitting Ivanovic .
Suarez is known as "Cannibal of Ajax" in holland as he was banned in holland when he was playing for Ajax.
He bit a player while playing a game for Ajax and was given a 8 match ban for that incident.

The game was full of incidents with carragher fortunate to be on the pitch as was sturrigde for poor tackling and aggressive behavior on the pitch.
Shelvy was also lucky to escape with a yellow card when he tackled oscar.
